Weekend Fun

So today is Friday ... I got to have dinner with the bestie and family and her mom who is hilarious. Oh ... SMH ... I went to 5 yes that's 5 stores looking for Butterscotch Schnapps. Seriously, 5 stores. Tomorrow will be with some other friends having a crawfish boil and lotsa liquor. Oh the butterscotch is for the bailey's ... Buttery Nipples ... Nom nom nom ... Be safe, have a great weekend and remember if your gonna be drinking get a designated driver.

Dinner Disastor

So ... My dad gave me this deer/pork sausage unwrapped and hubs had the brilliant idea to mix it with regular ground meat ... Last night I made a meatloaf with half of it ... Wasn't so bad ... Tonight he decided he wanted hamburger helper (the I'm feeling lazy meal) ... So I used the other half of the meat ... Not so good ... Least to me it wasn't ... He ate most of it ... I settled for some good old fashioned cornbread ... What did you have?

Mmmm Tabouli

So, growing up my family was good friends with a family from Lebanon. They taught me how to make tabouli and it is one of my favorite things to make. Normally I make it because I get a phone call from either my mom, cousin or sister requesting it. The convo normally goes like this:
Them: Ya know what would be good?
Me: What?
Them: Tabouli
Me: *silence*
Them: I'll buy if you make it... And go buy everything
Me: *silence* .............. oooooooooohhhhhhhhhh-k

New Desserts on the Menu

So, my cousin asked me to make this one for her husband. It's an odd combination but it worked well. Pistachio cake with butterscotch cream cheese icing and white chocolate covered strawberries. Would you try this? What other strange cake/cupcake combinations have you tried? Tweak My Desserts
