Growing up in south Louisiana a lot of recipes have been passed along. Each generation tends to tweak the recipe just a little to make it their own. Well, that's what I like to do. My friends and I like to tweak each others recipes, improve on them or create massive bombs. Dinner Disastor
So ... My dad gave me this deer/pork sausage unwrapped and hubs had the brilliant idea to mix it with regular ground meat ... Last night I made a meatloaf with half of it ... Wasn't so bad ... Tonight he decided he wanted hamburger helper (the I'm feeling lazy meal) ... So I used the other half of the meat ... Not so good ... Least to me it wasn't ... He ate most of it ... I settled for some good old fashioned cornbread ... What did you have?
